We could buy some. We could write some. Plenty of stores in this category do, and the tells are obvious once you know them — five reviews posted the same week, all five stars, none mentioning a specific product.

Selling compliance markings while faking social proof would be an odd way to earn anyone's trust.

What happens when we have them

Real reviews from real orders, published whether they are good or not. Rating markup goes on the site only once there is something genuine to mark up — emitting an aggregate rating with zero reviews is both a search penalty risk and a lie.

If a review says the vinyl was hard to apply in the cold, that review stays up and we write a better application guide.

In the meantime

Judge us on the things you can check right now:

• We say plainly that the federal rule sets no universal minimum letter height, when most of this category tells you it requires 2 inches
• We tell you on the MC number page that you probably do not need one
• Every regulatory claim on this site carries a citation and a link to the primary source, so you can verify it without trusting us

That is a harder thing to fake than a review.
